Base Dry Rub Recipe

Everybody has their favorite Dry Rub, here is mine.
I would encourage people to experiment and create their own personal Rub.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Coriander Seed
  • 1/4 cup Cumin Seed
  • 1/4 cup Celery Seed
  • 1/4 cup Hot Paprika
  • 1/4 cup Black Pepper
  • 1/4 cup Mustard Seed

Instructions:

  1. Lightly toast Coriander and Cumin, separately in a frying pan over low heat.
  2. Individually grind each ingredient in a spice grinder, I prefer a coarse grind.
  3. Mix together and store.
  4. You may alter the ingredients and proportions to suite your taste.
  5. I leave salt out, adding it to the rub as needed.
